Electrical Engineer - New Graduate (Industrial Refrigeration)

Location: Lyndhurst, Virginia, USA; occasional jobsite travel of up to 25% during the first 1–2 years of training.

Provides custom-engineered industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂, with engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and aftermarket support handled in-house.

What you will do

• Design electrical controls and power systems for industrial refrigeration projects.
• Produce preliminary and final drawings and technical documentation using CAD software.
• Complete design calculations, lighting designs for industrial warehouses, controls bills of materials, and material take-offs.
• Support purchasing, vendor communication, material specifications, and ERP data entry.
• Submit designs to management and construction teams and support implementation during building, installation, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with fabrication and manufacturing teams and assist with project execution under senior engineering guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or another CAD platform such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to jobsites, up to 25% during the first 1–2 years.
• Safety-sensitive role requiring pre-employment and regular drug testing.
• Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods and occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Prior electrical design experience.
• EIT license or interest in pursuing a PE license.
• HVAC/MEP experience.
• AutoCAD 2D/3D experience.
• Strong interest in developing expertise in electrical engineering and refrigeration systems.
