Senior Software Engineer (Medical Imaging/Graphics)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software for medical applications using full-stack development principles.
• Build UI and rendering components for complex graphics-driven applications.
• Decouple UI layers from graphics and rendering code to improve modularity and maintainability.
• Implement and optimize rendering solutions with modern graphics APIs, including SDL, CUDA, Vulkan, and OpenGL.
• Apply medical image processing and visualization techniques, troubleshoot production issues, and improve performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, systems engineers, and software engineers through Agile development, technical design reviews, and code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of professional experience designing and implementing complex software components.
• Hands-on experience with SDL, CUDA, Vulkan, OpenGL, scene rendering, and graphics pipeline development.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and experience with production software development in Python.
• Proficiency in image-processing algorithms and libraries such as OpenCV or ITK, with experience modernizing legacy rendering or UI architectures.
• Deep understanding of UI/UX principles for graphics-driven applications and strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical image visualization tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of robotic systems.
• Machine learning or deep learning experience, especially with medical-image segmentation, registration, or classification.
• Algorithm-development experience.
