Community Manager (Gaming)

Location: Remote from the Philippines

hirify.global operates sixteen gaming publications and is launching HEFTY.GG, a rewards platform where players connect game accounts, participate in competitions, and redeem points for real rewards.

What you will do

• Build, moderate, and grow the HEFTY.GG Discord community from an empty server.
• Manage daily communication on Reddit, X, Discord, and other player channels.
• Answer user questions, handle support enquiries, and escalate product issues.
• Run competitions and community events for the initial Old School RuneScape community.
• Share player feedback, complaints, and sentiment with the product team.
• Maintain relationships with gaming creators and community leaders.

Requirements

• Experience building or managing an online community, ideally in gaming.
• Excellent written English and the ability to adapt tone across Reddit, Discord, and X.
• Comfort responding publicly to criticism and handling hostile reactions without becoming defensive.
• Strong judgement about authentic community communication versus corporate messaging.
• Ability to work independently as the sole person responsible for community management.
• Curiosity about learning a new game and its community culture.

Nice to have

• Short-form video, graphics, or meme-making skills.
• Experience working on a product before launch.
• Relationships with gaming creators or streamers.
• Experience moderating a large or difficult community.
