Software Engineer II (Go/Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Develop Go services, APIs, automation, and platform tooling for provisioning and managing databases, streaming platforms, and caching infrastructure.
• Build reusable Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code workflows for cloud, Kubernetes, and data-platform services.
• Automate deployment, configuration, scaling, upgrades, backup, recovery, failover, and decommissioning of stateful services.
• Operate and improve SQL, NoSQL, streaming, and caching platforms including Cassandra, Aurora, Aerospike, Kafka, Redis, DynamoDB, and ElastiCache.
• Build self-service and agent-assisted infrastructure workflows, observability, automated tests, and reliability controls.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, root-cause analysis, design reviews, capacity planning, and cross-team delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, database reliability engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation.
• Production development experience with Go, APIs, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, streaming, or caching technologies and distributed-system concepts such as replication, partitioning, consistency, fault tolerance, backup, and recovery.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux, networking, storage systems, observability, and automated testing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal developer platforms, self-service infrastructure, or infrastructure APIs.
• Experience using AI/ML or generative AI for infrastructure automation, incident management, observability, or developer productivity.
• Familiarity with agent-assisted workflows, structured outputs, tool-calling integrations, approval controls, or policy-based automation.
• AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, database, or streaming-platform certifications.
