Software Engineer (L2) (Go)

Location: Remote in the USA; not eligible for candidates in California, New York, Washington, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut. Occasional travel may be required for project or team meetings.

Salary: $116,960–$146,200, $123,760–$154,700, or $137,520–$171,900 annually, depending on location. Equity and a corporate bonus plan may also be available.

What you will do

• Create, deploy, and manage highly available, large-scale distributed systems.
• Redesign backend services to improve scalability and strengthen service security.
• Develop reliable features and product capabilities that improve customer email experiences and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with engineering and product partners to understand customer challenges and deliver effective solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality.
• Define system metrics and implement monitoring for data storage and analytical services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated skill progression.
• Proficiency with Go or a similar typed programming language such as Java, C#, C++, or Rust.
• Ability to build reliable, maintainable components and automate processes and administrative tasks.
• Strong collaboration, ownership, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be based in the USA, excluding California, New York, Washington, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
• Experience with Terraform or similar configuration-management tools.
• Experience with MySQL or AWS Aurora.
• Experience with Kafka or other distributed logging systems.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud infrastructure providers.
