Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Based at a headquarters in Johnston, Rhode Island; Phoenix, Arizona; or Plano, Texas. Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Complete three Software Engineer rotations across Consumer Technology, Commercial Technology, Colleague Technology, and Architecture & Strategy.
• Design, develop, implement, maintain, and enhance applications, components, and technology tools.
• Build and support iOS and Android applications, APIs, and a microservices framework.
• Research requirements, maintain project documentation, create progress reports, and contribute in an agile environment.
• Identify system issues and improvement opportunities, recommend solutions, and support quality improvements.
• Apply modern development practices and AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Development, or another technology-related field.
• Expected graduation in Spring 2027 and minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Practical software development experience from coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Experience with at least one of Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Go, Swift, Python, .NET, Node, or React.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required; CPT, OPT, and visa sponsorship are not eligible.
• Successful completion of the video interview assessment within four days of receiving the link is required.

Nice to have

• Professional software development or engineering experience.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as CircleCI or Jenkins.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Interest in applying technology to banking and financial services challenges.
