Associate Data Analyst (Power BI)

What you will do

• Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, data visualizations, semantic models, calculated measures, and KPI frameworks.
• Build analytics products from governed Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse data sources using DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
• Support dashboard migration, validation, data reconciliation, troubleshooting, and reporting modernization.
• Gather requirements from Government and business stakeholders and translate them into use cases, process flows, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Support row-level security, workspace access controls, self-service analytics, user acceptance testing, demonstrations, and training.
• Collaborate with senior analysts, data engineers, governance specialists, and source-system owners across education, workforce, financial, procurement, and operational analytics.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Working knowledge of DAX, calculated measures, Power Query or comparable data transformation tools, and SQL.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends and inconsistencies, and validate reporting outputs.
• Experience gathering or documenting business and reporting requirements for technical and non-technical users.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Active Secret clearance

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Fabric Lakehouse sources, Power BI semantic models, row-level security, or workspace permissions.
• Experience with dashboard migrations, reporting modernization, education analytics, federal reporting, or Government data environments.
• Exposure to self-service analytics, Copilot-assisted analytics, or other AI-enabled business intelligence tools.
• Experience developing user guides, training materials, or analytics documentation.
