Embedded Firmware Design Engineer (NFC): Developing, testing, and verifying embedded firmware for innovative NFC semiconductor solutions with an accent on requirements analysis, firmware implementation, and full lifecycle validation. Focus on writing reliable C/C++ or Rust code, supporting security-related certification work, and collaborating across digital design and firmware projects.
Location: Gratkorn, Austria; home office and flexible working time are available.

What you will do
- Develop, test, and verify embedded firmware solutions for NFC RF communication products.
- Translate customer and system requirements into firmware implementations.
- Write clean, high-quality code and supporting technical documentation.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders on priorities, deliverables, and project plans.
- Improve firmware development processes, workflows, tools, and methodologies.
- Contribute to security-related tasks and work within potential security certification requirements.
Requirements
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of embedded software development and software engineering principles.
- Programming skills in C/C++ and/or Rust.
- Experience with Linux, command-line tools, scripting, Python, and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with Git or SVN version control systems.
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Exposure to Agile development and continuous integration.
- Experience with RTOS-based firmware development.
- Understanding of embedded hardware architectures.
- Knowledge of HDL design or verification languages and digital design tools.
