Experienced Yocto Linux Software Developer

Location: Érd, Hungary; hybrid working model with 60% home office. Occasional travel to the Graz headquarters is required a few times per year.

What you will do

• Contribute to instrumentation product development from ideation through deployment for emissions measurement devices.
• Understand measurement principles and end-user requirements for measurement devices.
• Design, implement, and test embedded Linux platforms for measurement devices.
• Configure and integrate embedded systems based on modern ARM architectures.
• Collaborate with the Hungarian development team and international Scrum project teams.
• Document system components and development results.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience with the Yocto Project.
• In-depth knowledge of C/C++ and embedded Linux software development on modern ARM architectures, such as NXP i.MX8 and Xilinx UltraScale SoCs.
• Understanding of U-Boot and the Linux kernel.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and automated testing.
• Fluent written and spoken English required; German is an advantage. Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills are expected.
