Experienced Yocto Linux Software Developer (Embedded Linux)

Location: Érd, Hungary; hybrid working model with 60% home office. Willingness to travel to the Graz headquarters a few times a year is required.

What you will do

• Participate in instrumentation product development from ideation through deployment for emissions measurement devices.
• Understand measurement principles and end-user workflows based on product requirements.
• Design, implement, and test embedded Linux platforms for measurement devices.
• Configure and integrate embedded systems and document system components.
• Collaborate with the Hungarian development team and an international Scrum project team.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience with the Yocto Project.
• In-depth knowledge of C/C++ and embedded Linux software development on modern ARM architectures, including NXP i.MX8 and Xilinx UltraScale SoCs.
• Understanding of U-Boot and the Linux kernel.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and automated testing.
• Fluent written and spoken English, strong communication skills, willingness to work with agile methods, and a collaborative team mindset.
