Intelligence Monitoring Specialist (Open Source Research)

Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States; on-site in a 24x7 Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility. Shift work includes regular overnight, weekend, and holiday hours.

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Monitor classified cable traffic and intelligence reporting for threats involving U.S. diplomatic facilities, personnel abroad, and other U.S. interests.
• Evaluate intelligence against predefined warning and dissemination criteria.
• Prepare and distribute concise, templated threat notifications to security personnel, desk officers, analysts, and external agencies.
• Respond to information requests and provide written or oral briefings.
• Maintain classified and unclassified notification logs and use intelligence databases and toolkits.
• Conduct cross-network operations between TS/SCI and Secret networks while collaborating with mission stakeholders.

Requirements

• Top Secret/SCI clearance required before starting work.
• Bachelor’s degree plus four years of relevant experience, or seven or more years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Experience monitoring, researching, and disseminating security or threat-related intelligence, preferably in a U.S. government or Department of State context.
• Ability to identify relevant intelligence and produce accurate, timely, concise report summaries.
• Proficiency with databases and tools used to access and disseminate classified information.
• Strong written and oral communication, independent workload management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Watch-floor experience involving threat warning or intelligence operations.
• Familiarity with Department of State and other U.S. government missions, databases, search platforms, or information-handling systems.
