Strategic Transformation, Data Operations - Associate

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; office-based Monday–Thursday with remote flexibility on Friday

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 per year

hirify.global provides financial technology and investment operations services, with the Strategic Transformation Data team embedded within Fund Finance.

What you will do

• Investigate production data issues using SQL and drive root-cause resolution with engineering and operations teams.
• Support ETL pipeline development and collaborate with Product Managers and engineers across the development lifecycle.
• Coordinate data exception and discrepancy resolution between fund administrators, business groups, and technology teams.
• Build exception management tooling, data quality controls, metrics, and dashboards.
• Define business and technical requirements, write test cases, and perform user acceptance testing.
• Identify automation opportunities across reconciliation, ingestion monitoring, and exception handling, while documenting operational knowledge.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in business analysis, data support, or application support within financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, business analytics, business administration, finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, investigation, and root-cause diagnostics.
• Experience coordinating with engineers, translating complex data issues into clear business language, and managing stakeholders.
• Experience with private equity, hedge fund, or alternative investment operations and data.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts, data ingestion, workflow automation, Jira tickets, or structured engineering requirements.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AI-assisted tooling or automation frameworks.
• Python experience.
