Documentation Technician (Commercial Solutions Division)

Company

Develops and enhances welding and plasma cutting systems within the Commercial Solutions Division.

What you will do

• Create and modify engineering drawings, models, specification sheets, circuit diagrams, ECOs, deviations, parts entries, and BOM versions.
• Develop documentation and parts structures for new products and maintain documentation for existing products.
• Review and revise parts lists, service parts kits, service memos, field instructions, owner’s manuals, and technical manuals.
• Coordinate supplier documentation packages, including circuit board layouts and bills of material.
• Facilitate ECO meetings between Engineering, Operations, and Materials.
• Participate in documentation standards meetings and implement approved changes.

Requirements

• Associate degree or active enrollment in Mechanical Design, Quality Control, Electronics Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
• Clear, accurate, and detailed technical writing and strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with electrical circuit diagrams, electrical product manufacturing processes, and BOM maintenance.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with Arena Empower (Omnify), Microsoft Dynamics 365, and 2D/3D modeling tools.

Nice to have

• Three years of experience in design and documentation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
