Architect (Gaming & Hospitality)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; primarily office or hybrid, with travel to project sites, other offices, and client meetings.

Salary: $82,000–$105,000 per year

What you will do

• Participate in design discussions, idea generation, project management, drawing, modeling, and 3D image development.
• Direct non-licensed staff and other professionals through design production and coordination of technical documents.
• Design and detail architectural projects using Autodesk Revit.
• Develop technical design solutions and support design presentation materials.
• Attend project and client meetings, including business development opportunities and contracted projects.
• Conduct field observations at active construction sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, or equivalent education and experience.
• Registered Architect license/certification is required. NCARB certification is a plus.
• 8–15 years of experience in architecture, preferably with gaming and hospitality projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural systems, building systems, design, and construction documentation.
• Experience with Revit, Enscape, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and Google SketchUp; AutoCAD knowledge is beneficial.
• Current and ongoing authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship is required; visa sponsorship is not available. A full clean driver’s license is also required.

Nice to have

• NCARB certification and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience devising new approaches to design and documentation challenges.
• Strong digital QA/QC and multidisciplinary model coordination experience.
• Early project management capability.
