Software Engineer (Golang)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; on-site

Company

Supports the National Air and Space Intelligence Center with software engineering focused on Air Force digital transformation.

What you will do

• Design and implement new software capabilities.
• Resolve issues in existing code and integrate capabilities with external services and tools.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor team members.
• Communicate project status and technical details with the customer.
• Take ownership of assigned project segments in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• At least 3 years of professional experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant STEM field.
• Experience with RESTful web services and server-side languages, preferably Golang, Node.js, or Python.
• Experience with modern frontend JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Experience with version control and bug or issue tracking software, including Git and JIRA.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and technical ownership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployment.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
