AI Data Engineer Consultant (AI/Data Engineering): Designing AI-powered data pipelines and intelligent workflows that transform structured and unstructured data into business-ready outputs with an accent on LLM orchestration, RAG architectures, and production-grade data engineering. Focus on building scalable AI solutions, integrating full-stack applications, optimizing relational and vector databases, and generating customer-ready Excel, PDF, and Word documents.

What you will do
- Design and implement AI-powered pipelines for extracting, cleaning, enriching, and transforming structured and unstructured data.
- Orchestrate large language models for data manipulation, validation, and cross-referencing.
- Build scalable workflows using LLMs, automation, RAG architectures, and modern data engineering practices.
- Generate customer-ready Excel, PDF, Word, and other business documents programmatically.
- Prototype AI tools and convert proofs of concept into production-ready solutions.
- Integrate AI back ends with modern web interfaces and optimize relational and vector databases.
Requirements
- University degree in environmental sciences, information technology, computer science, engineering, management information systems, theoretical business, or a related technical field.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in AI data engineering or an EHS-related field.
- Hands-on experience with large language models, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, or open-source equivalents.
- Strong understanding of embeddings, vector search, semantic similarity, and RAG architectures.
- Strong Python skills, including asynchronous patterns, data libraries, and AI SDKs; experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with SQL, relational data modeling, APIs, FastAPI, .NET, Node.js, and programmatic document generation.
Nice to have
- Front-end development experience with Vue 3 Composition API and TypeScript.
- Experience with vector databases, AI-oriented storage patterns, containerization, cloud platforms, or serverless architectures.
- Background in NLP, document intelligence, data enrichment pipelines, monorepos, Turborepo, or Nx.
- Knowledge of EHS software and domains such as environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, occupational health, audit management, incident management, and risk assessment.
