Senior Software Engineer (.NET/Vue)

Location: Remote from Sri Lanka; Colombo, Sri Lanka

What you will do

• Develop secure, reliable, and maintainable software across legacy and modern platforms.
• Maintain and modernise applications built with Classic ASP, .NET Framework, modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, Windows Services, IIS, and Vue 3.
• Build new services, APIs, and features using modern .NET, including .NET 8/9.
• Work with SQL Server stored procedures, views, indexes, complex queries, and performance optimisation using Entity Framework and direct SQL.
• Improve unit and end-to-end test coverage and collaborate with QA on testing at different levels.
• Use AI coding assistants while reviewing, testing, and verifying generated code and developing reusable AI-assisted quality-control workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Framework 4.x, C#, Classic ASP, Windows Services, and IIS-hosted applications.
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including complex queries, stored procedures, views, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience with modern .NET, ASP.NET Core Web APIs, Vue.js, and both backend and frontend development.
• Experience with automated testing, including unit testing and E2E testing, plus a strong understanding of software quality, security, maintainability, and technical debt.
• Fluent written and spoken English; remote work must be performed from Sri Lanka.

Nice to have

• Experience with .NET 8/9, Docker, AWS, and legacy application modernisation or migration.
• Experience with AI coding assistants, coding agents, and automated verification processes for AI-generated code.
