Senior Analytics Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the transformation layer while dbt is introduced on a new data warehouse, including dimensional models, tests, and documentation.
• Turn ambiguous business questions into durable data models and establish reusable modeling patterns.
• Partner with finance, compliance, and product stakeholders to define requirements, data definitions, and correctness criteria.
• Monitor models and resolve or escalate data quality issues before they affect stakeholders.
• Work across ingestion, orchestration, warehouse configuration, analysis, and decision support when needed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of combined experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or analytics with substantial modeling ownership.
• Strong analytical SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and performance-aware queries.
• Fluency in data and dimensional modeling, with the ability to design schemas from unclear requirements.
• Experience with dbt or an equivalent transformation framework such as Dataform or SQLMesh.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and familiarity with orchestration, BI, Git, CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
• Ability to work with finance, compliance, and product stakeholders to translate business needs into buildable definitions.

Nice to have

• Platform-level experience with Terraform or infrastructure as code, DMS/CDC, data lake patterns, or data observability.
• Experience working with financial, payments, or regulated data.
