Technical Lead (Fashion Retail)

What you will do

• Partner with Buying, Brand, and Design leaders to define technical service requirements, performance standards, and strategic plans.
• Assess suppliers, manage supply chain risks, lead supplier reviews, and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Manage product blocks, lead fit days, improve construction and sizing consistency, and reduce return rates through data-led product development.
• Drive sustainable fabric sourcing, maintain fabric and mill libraries, and support mill tender processes.
• Manage and develop direct reports while overseeing indirect technical reporting lines across the wider brand portfolio.
• Provide technical coaching and coordinate training on fabric innovation, sustainability, quality, and decision-making.

Requirements

• Senior-level technical experience in a fast-paced fashion retail environment across multiple product categories.
• Experience with supplier appraisal, risk management, quality standards, and global supply chains.
• Expert knowledge of pattern cutting, product block management, grading, and technical fitting.
• Strong analytical ability to use returns data, QFNs, and trade metrics to improve products.
• Knowledge of fabrications, mill management, sustainable sourcing, and environmental compliance frameworks.
• Experience leading, coaching, and upskilling technical teams while influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
