Salary: $100,000–$130,000 USD per year, base pay range for Maryland.

What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers.
- Conduct feasibility studies and research and development projects for advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Partner with Product Development to apply Design for Manufacturing principles to spaceflight separation systems.
- Design, procure, install, and validate production lines and factory systems for assembly, testing, and verification.
- Diagnose production issues, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and improve yield and build efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement, change management, and business system enhancements across manufacturing and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, or process engineering.
- Hands-on experience solving complex manufacturing-system problems and supporting production lines.
- Experience leading teams toward technical and operational goals.
- Familiarity with aerospace mechanical fabrication techniques, materials, and surface finishes.
- Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Pareto analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
Nice to have
- 8+ years of production or manufacturing engineering experience.
- At least 1 year of team management or leadership experience.
- Experience with capital and facilities justification, project management, and implementation.
- Experience transitioning products from design to production in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
