Senior QA Automation Engineer (iGaming)

Location: New Belgrade, Serbia; hybrid working model with up to 70 days of remote work per year

What you will do

• Own the automation approach for the CMS Platform product area and build reliable coverage for critical user journeys, backend workflows, and service integrations.
• Design, maintain, and evolve automation frameworks, reusable components, test data, and CI/CD integration.
• Combine manual, exploratory, and automated testing while progressively automating valuable regression coverage.
• Define coverage across UI/E2E, API, contract, component, integration, and unit testing levels.
• Validate business logic and system behavior using browser tools, APIs, databases, logs, network traffic, and other technical interfaces.
• Investigate flaky tests and complex failures, review automation code, improve reliability and speed, and mentor Quality Engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, including substantial UI/web automation, API/backend automation, or both.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language used for automation and experience designing maintainable frameworks and test suites.
• Strong manual, functional, exploratory, and risk-based testing skills.
• Ability to translate requirements and business rules into positive, negative, boundary, failure, and edge-case coverage.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum delivery, and modern software development workflows.
• Experience debugging failures with developer tools, APIs, logs, databases, network data, and observability tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• SQL skills and familiarity with microservices or distributed systems.
• Experience with integration, contract, visual regression, cross-browser, accessibility, or user-focused performance testing.
• Familiarity with message brokers, asynchronous processing, and service mocking.
