Engineering Intern (Curtain Wall Engineering)

What you will do

• Support the design and engineering of exterior curtain wall systems.
• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Assist with engineering calculations, thermal and structural analysis, shop drawings, material take-offs, project evaluations, and proposal development.
• Produce technical deliverables and proposal or project drawings using AutoCAD and 3D AutoCAD.
• Maintain and improve engineering software tools, databases, and drafting standards.
• Collaborate with architects, general contractors, designers, and project teams to develop design solutions and improve engineering processes.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, architectural, construction engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in engineering, construction, building systems, and design technologies.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications and collaborate in a team environment.
• Junior or senior academic standing and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Interest in engineering calculations, construction technologies, and new engineering concepts.
