UMI Project Manager (Underground Maintenance)

Location: Franklin, Tennessee, United States; on-site with office and field work, frequent active job-site visits, and travel between project locations

What you will do

• Manage underground maintenance and inspection projects from planning and execution through monitoring and closeout.
• Develop schedules, budgets, manpower forecasts, resource plans, reports, forecasts, change orders, and RFIs.
• Coordinate superintendents, foremen, operators, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, utility representatives, and regulatory agencies.
• Track project progress, costs, billing, forecasting, profit and loss, equipment utilization, and expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with contract specifications, OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety policies.
• Lead client communication, project meetings, issue resolution, turnover, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in construction, utility, underground maintenance, inspection, or infrastructure project management.
• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience managing crews, equipment, subcontractors, and multiple active projects.
• Strong skills in project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, contract administration, risk management, communication, and leadership.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software, plus a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice to have

• PMP, CCM, or similar project management certification.
• Experience with underground utility construction, maintenance, inspection, and rehabilitation projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, utility industry standards, estimating, and project controls software.
