Associate Scientist (Pharmaceutical Analysis)

Location: Portage, Michigan, USA; candidates should live within commuting distance. Full-time onsite schedule, Tuesday to Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m., with overtime as needed.

What you will do

• Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients, finished pharmaceutical products, devices, and animal health products.
• Prepare standards and samples and independently operate chromatographic systems, Karl Fischer instruments, UV/Vis spectroscopy, HPLC, and dissolution apparatus.
• Execute method transfer protocols, feasibility studies, and laboratory testing projects.
• Review laboratory data, process results, generate reports, and ensure compliance with GMP and GLP requirements.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, communicate with vendors and repair personnel, and write investigations.
• Train colleagues in laboratory procedures and lead project or test areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Ability to read analytical procedures, client methods, and internal SOPs.
• Ability to document work clearly, perform accurate testing, and evaluate laboratory data.
• Ability to work onsite within commuting distance of Portage, Michigan, on a Tuesday–Friday 4x10 schedule.
