Specialist, Health Information Management (Healthcare)

Location: On-site at Nicklaus–NCHS Corporate Headquarters in Miami, Florida, near Miami International Airport. This position is limited to individuals who reside and are authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $18.65–$19.90 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Analyze and reanalyze medical records accurately and on time.
• Complete accounts in Meditech documentation and missing-document work queues.
• Follow up with ancillary and nursing departments and providers to obtain missing documentation and dictation.
• Review electronic medical records, create charting deficiencies, and assign them to the appropriate providers.
• Manage electronic and manual analysis work queues and support timely chart completion.
• Document workflows, identify process issues and trends, and escalate facility or corporate compliance concerns.

Requirements

• Residence and authorization to work in the United States are required.
• Bilingual Spanish and English communication is required.
• Knowledge of CMS and Joint Commission regulations is preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
• Healthcare revenue cycle or acute-care facility health information management experience is preferred.
• CRCR certification is required within nine months of hire; the company pays for the certification.
