QAE/DevOps Solutions Architect (Azure)

Location: Remote within the United States; employees are not hired from U.S. territories or Alaska, Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, or Maine.

Salary: $123,398–$156,106 USD target hiring range; maximum current salary of $173,946 USD.

What you will do

• Define QAE and DevOps automation architecture, test technology standards, reference architectures, coding standards, and repository structures.
• Design and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines with integrated quality gates, governance controls, compliance, and auditability.
• Integrate UI, API, performance, regression, integration, and data-validation testing into delivery pipelines.
• Lead the transformation from manual testing to quality engineering, including shift-left development practices and shift-right production learning.
• Adopt AI-assisted QA tools for test generation, defect prediction, intelligent automation, and quality oversight of AI agents and bots.
• Mentor QA and DevOps engineers and drive improvements in deployment reliability, speed, and quality metrics.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in QA, quality engineering, or test automation, including experience in an architect role.
• Experience leading a manual-to-automation QA transformation and establishing QA and DevOps governance frameworks.
• Deep expertise in Azure DevOps Platform Administration, Pipelines, Repos, Test Plans, and Artifacts.
• Experience with enterprise CI/CD pipelines, enforceable quality gates, and pipeline-integrated testing strategies.
• Strong experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation frameworks, plus API testing, data validation, and scripting or programming in C#, Python, PowerShell, JMeter, or similar tools.
• Remote work requires a dedicated home office with non-cellular high-speed internet, minimum 30 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload, latency below 80 ms, and no hotspot, satellite, or wireless service.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure as code using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native Azure architectures, or data platforms such as Snowflake and dbt.
• Experience with AI-assisted development or testing tools, security, compliance, and enterprise AI governance.
