Software Cloud Engineer I - Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

Location: Hybrid role in Galway, County Galway, Ireland

Salary: €44,240–€66,360 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Support the build, maintenance, and improvement of AWS environments using EC2, ELB, RDS, Security Groups, S3, CloudWatch, and related cloud-native services.
• Assist with infrastructure automation and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, and similar tools.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support repeatable infrastructure delivery under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Use CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Dynatrace for monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, and issue identification.
• Make minor improvements to systems, scripts, processes, and technical documentation.
• Communicate technical information and project status with immediate team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, software engineering, or a related role.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies, Windows and Linux systems, command-line tools, networking, storage, security, and observability.
• Basic experience deploying, supporting, or troubleshooting applications in containerised environments.
• Exposure to Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
• Programming or scripting experience in Go, Python, Bash, or a similar language.

• Interest in automating repetitive tasks and developing repeatable infrastructure delivery practices.
