Health Information Operations Supervisor (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid role based in Birmingham, Alabama, requiring regular on-site presence and travel across supported locations. Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST.

What you will do

• Lead, train, motivate, and develop health information services staff across multiple locations.
• Manage daily workforce operations, staffing coverage, schedules, PTO coverage, timecards, productivity, and service delivery.
• Oversee audit requests from payors, client risk-management requests, and escalations from centralized call centers.
• Track KPIs, analyze operational performance, and provide solutions to clients and leadership.
• Coordinate resources across teams, manage complex operational issues, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Participate in projects and committees focused on operational strategy and process improvement.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of health information-related experience.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA standards and accurate, compliant medical-record handling.
• Ability to support clients and teams both on-site and remotely, including frequent travel between supported locations.
• Experience leading, coaching, presenting to, and developing teams.
• Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Office.
• This position is not eligible for employment sponsorship.

• Electronic medical record experience with EPIC or Cerner.
• Production or metric-based work experience.
