Quality Improvement Specialist

Location: Austin, Texas, USA; weekly travel around Austin and South Austin, with quarterly travel to San Angelo and Big Spring.

Starting salary: $50,900 per year.

What you will do

• Assist with incident reports and investigations.
• Conduct site reviews and audits to verify compliance.
• Run reports to monitor medication and documentation completion.
• Recommend quality improvements and follow up on corrective actions.
• Deliver training related to compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Program, Area, and State Directors to maintain consistent service quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field.
• At least three years of human services experience, including two years in quality assurance.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to build, review, and interpret complex data.
• Knowledge of IDD support regulations, HIPAA, licensing requirements, and person-centered service provision.
• Valid driver’s license and consistent access to a vehicle; regular regional travel is required.
• Successful background clearance, strong communication skills, sound judgment, flexibility, and effective time management.
