Senior Software Dev Engineer (AWS Transform Mainframe)

What you will do

• Design, estimate, develop, test, and maintain medium-to-large software components for AWS Transform Mainframe.
• Build end-to-end solutions spanning customer experiences, interfaces, infrastructure, monitoring, and service operations.
• Troubleshoot complex technical and customer-impacting issues, perform forensic analysis, and resolve root causes.
• Drive architecture, code quality, scalability, security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Automate development, testing, and operations processes using new technologies and Generative AI.
• Mentor engineers, participate in technical assessments and code reviews, and communicate design trade-offs and delivery risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT, or an equivalent field.
• Professional, non-internship software development experience.
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
• Experience leading architecture and design for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team lead.
• Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams is preferred.
