Media Relations Manager, YouVersion

What you will do

• Contribute to the strategic direction of global YouVersion press initiatives and editorial collaborations.
• Coach and support international PR contractors and prepare global spokespeople for interviews.
• Draft and distribute press materials, coordinate campaigns across teams and regions, and respond to media inquiries.
• Monitor global and trade news to identify pitching opportunities and prepare for reactive communications.
• Build relationships with journalists and maintain research-based media lists, visual assets, testimonials, and coverage reports.
• Develop consistent messaging on sensitive topics and evaluate the effectiveness of press efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Strategic Communication, or a related field.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Leadership experience, including coaching and developing others.
• Ability to work across time zones and with remote teams, manage deadlines, make independent decisions, and handle conflict.
• Five or more years of related work experience are preferred, along with a demonstrated track record in effective media relations strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience working across international markets and diverse audiences.
• Experience identifying news hooks and managing sensitive or unexpected communications situations.
