Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. US citizenship required.

Base pay range for Massachusetts and listed markets: $112,700–$177,100 USD annually.

What you will do

• Provision, maintain, scale, and troubleshoot production services across distributed data centers and AWS.
• Improve infrastructure scalability, operability, reliability, capacity, and performance.
• Deploy, maintain, monitor, tune, and secure a 24x7 multi-site production environment.
• Investigate complex root causes involving networks, hardware, software, and distributed systems.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, reporting, and reliable infrastructure architecture.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams on resource planning, operational standards, rollouts, and incident response; participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience troubleshooting and tuning systems, networks, and cloud services.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Experience automating operational tasks with Node.js, Python, or scripting languages.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, LDAP, monitoring and alerting systems, and operational practices including change and incident management.
• Experience managing large distributed computing environments, cloud infrastructure, public clouds such as Amazon EC2 or Microsoft Azure, and virtualization platforms including KVM, VMware vSphere, or OpenStack.
• US citizenship and a BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience, are required.
