Senior Site Reliability Engineer (IAM)

Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany; Haarlem, Netherlands; or Ljubljana, Slovenia, with office attendance three days per week. Working hours align with CET.

Salary: €77,000–€96,300 gross annually in Germany; €75,000–€93,700 in the Netherlands; €64,900–€81,100 in Slovenia.

What you will do

• Operate, architect, and maintain corporate identity providers including Okta, Auth0, and Keycloak.
• Build automated Joiner, Mover, and Leaver workflows from the HRIS into identity directories.
• Use Python or Go to automate operations, create provisioning connectors, and enforce identity data minimization.
• Manage identity platforms with APIs, Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack as infrastructure as code.
• Participate in on-call rotations and improve incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes for authentication failures.
• Collaborate with Security and IT teams to implement reliable, scalable, secure, GDPR-compliant, and Zero Trust identity architecture.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure development or operations with a dedicated focus on Identity and Access Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Expertise with a scripting language such as Python.
• Experience with large web applications or computer clusters and complex identity architectures using Okta, Auth0, or Keycloak.
• Experience integrating HR information systems with identity directories, including re-hires and cross-border transfers.
• Knowledge of networking, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, PKI, S/MIME, X.509, certificate lifecycles, and Active Directory.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying and maintaining databases, Docker, ECS, Linux containers, virtual machines, or access control systems.
• Knowledge of defensive programming, Git, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab, and production software development.
• Experience with PKI deployment automation and personal S/MIME certificate renewal and revocation.
