Automotive Content Proofreader & Post-Editor (M/F/D) (Automotive)

Location: Udine, Italy; hybrid arrangement with one remote work day per week.

What you will do

• Proofread and post-edit German automotive manuals and technical documentation.
• Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and readability issues.
• Maintain consistent automotive terminology, style guides, and glossaries.
• Verify that edited and translated content matches the source English meaning.
• Check units, symbols, structure, and technical accuracy in manuals.
• Collaborate with translation, localization, and technical writing teams.

Requirements

• Fluent or native German, strong English proficiency, and good knowledge of Italian.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of automotive systems, terminology, or industry concepts.
• Strong proofreading and editing skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work with machine-translated content and understand technical information.
• Experience with automotive documentation, repair manuals, technical content, translation, linguistics, technical writing, or automotive engineering.
• Familiarity with CAT tools, QA tools, or terminology management systems.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of French.
• Familiarity with translation and localization workflows.
