Systems Engineer Intern (Control Systems)

Location: Onsite in Piedmont, South Carolina, USA. Day-to-day work is performed on a hirify.global campus.

What you will do

• Help develop and document control system specifications for software development and testing.
• Perform software and hardware tests and simulations for machine control systems.
• Review wiring diagrams and schematics, and help design wire harnesses, control panels, sensor mounts, and wire routing.
• Specify control system components and assist with electrical and control system prototypes.
• Identify electrical quality and reliability issues and implement solutions.
• Support control system design changes for existing machines and prepare implementation documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Control, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to create electrical drawings and build electrical harnesses.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, electronics, and controls.
• Ability to test machine control systems and support computer-based electro-hydraulic control system design.
• Strong organization, project management, documentation, and communication skills.

• Previous internship experience.
