Internal Audit Intern – Summer 2027

Location: Montpelier, Vermont, United States; onsite four days per week

Hourly pay: $19–$28 USD

What you will do

• Support audit planning, risk assessment, and internal control testing.
• Review business processes, financial and operational information, and supporting documentation.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and results accurately and confidentially.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit colleagues and business partners to understand processes and identify risks.
• Prepare organized audit summaries and escalate potential inconsistencies or issues.
• Use approved AI tools responsibly to improve work quality and efficiency while validating generated content.

Requirements

• Undergraduate student interested in gaining practical workplace experience.
• Strong interpersonal, written communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines.
• Intellectual curiosity, professionalism, initiative, adaptability, and accountability.
• Ability to work onsite in Montpelier, Vermont, four days per week during onsite core days.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
