hirify.globalss="what-you-will-do">What you will do

• Help lead and grow the National Tax Controversy team.
• Represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service in examinations and appeals.
• Handle tax account and collection issues and prepare penalty abatement and relief requests.
• Support client-relationship professionals with tax controversy matters.
• Develop controversy-related policies, procedures, tools, resources, articles, and communications.
• Present tax controversy webcasts and collaborate on Tax Quality and National Tax Office initiatives.

hirify.globalss="requirements">Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA required; a Juris Doctorate or Enrolled Agent credential may be accepted in lieu of CPA.
• At least 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm, including strategic management.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, collaboration, tax research, problem-solving, and matter-management skills.
• High integrity, dependability, sound judgment, and results orientation.

• LLM or Master’s degree in taxation.
• 10+ years of experience in tax advocacy, examination, controversy, or account resolution.
• Prior IRS experience.
