Manager, Cybersecurity & Information Protection (US)

Location: New York City, United States. Hybrid work is required, with attendance at the assigned hirify.global office 2–3 days per week or as needed. This role is not remote.

Annual base salary: $106,000–$176,600, plus a 15% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise information protection program and serve as a Technology and Cyber Privacy Advisor.
• Provide cybersecurity, information protection, and data privacy guidance for strategic initiatives, business transformations, applications, digital solutions, and technology projects.
• Assess and manage cybersecurity and information protection risks related to business initiatives and third-party engagements.
• Drive compliance programs covering regulatory assessments, filings, remediation planning, audits, inspections, and regulatory engagements.
• Define and support data protection controls, policies, standards, classification, labeling, tagging, data discovery, and DLP capabilities.
• Monitor emerging threats and regulatory developments, support incident response, and coordinate with business and technology stakeholders across multiple time zones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, information systems, risk management, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in supervisory or project leadership work; equivalent combinations of education and experience are accepted.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance frameworks, and U.S. regulations including CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, and state privacy laws.
• Hands-on experience building data discovery, classification, and data loss prevention programs, plus working knowledge of data encryption.
• Experience with cybersecurity assessments, audits, regulatory inspections, compliance programs, or risk management initiatives.
• Professional proficiency in English and strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and project coordination skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States by any employer; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CIPP/E, or CIPM.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences environments.
• Hands-on experience with GRC platforms such as Archer.
• Knowledge of Latin American privacy regulations, Spanish or Portuguese, and privacy, intellectual property protection, or regulated data environments.
