Principal Data Analyst (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

What you will do

• Analyze large healthcare revenue cycle datasets to identify trends, anomalies, data quality issues, coverage discovery gaps, and product improvement opportunities.
• Use advanced SQL and Databricks to query, structure, profile, and interpret high-volume data from multiple sources.
• Apply descriptive, diagnostic, and statistical analysis to evaluate product performance, validate hypotheses, and measure impact.
• Use AI-assisted analytics and automation for pattern detection, anomaly identification, root-cause analysis, documentation, and insight generation.
• Build metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and monitoring frameworks for product and operational outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Sales, and leadership teams to turn analysis into prioritized recommendations and action plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, healthcare analytics, revenue cycle analytics, or a related field.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregation, data validation, and performance-aware querying.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Spark, or comparable big-data platforms.
• Experience with healthcare revenue cycle data, eligibility, coverage discovery, claims, denials, payer data, provider workflows, or healthcare data exchange.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, project management, data visualization, and executive storytelling skills.

Nice to have

• Python or PySpark experience for data manipulation, statistical exploration, automation, or repeatable analytical workflows.
• Experience with product optimization, data reconciliation, analytical QA, exception reporting, or operational monitoring frameworks.
• Familiarity with machine learning, predictive analytics, experimentation, or model-assisted analysis.
