Software Engineer Intern 2026/2027 (Networking)

What you will do

• Develop Linux user-space and kernel code for DMA, IOMMU controllers, and hardware/software integration.
• Program switching ASICs, FPGAs, media adapters, PCIe bridges, and related hardware interfaces.
• Implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols, including LLDP, 802.1X, BFD, BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.
• Maintain hardware forwarding state and reconcile Linux routing models with switch forwarding state.
• Build configuration management services in Go and Python using YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC, SSH, and SSL.
• Develop fault-tolerant routing agents and automated Python test harnesses for embedded Fedora Linux systems.

Requirements

• Knowledge of at least one of C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Interest or experience in networking, Linux, embedded systems, algorithms, programming, or software development.
• Interest in hardware/software boundaries, networking chips, routing protocols, and high-performance systems.
• Working hours are agreed in advance with the team manager.
