Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Vienna area, Austria; candidates must live in the area or be willing to relocate

Salary: Minimum EUR 60,844 gross per year; the offered salary will be above the applicable IT-KV minimum and adjusted to market conditions.

What you will do

• Own product projects end to end, from customer problem discovery and technical design through implementation, rollout, and measurement.
• Build agent debugging experiences, including multi-agent workflow views, conversation replay, cost and token breakdowns, and failure analysis.
• Develop fast, queryable APIs and data systems for filtering and sorting millions of conversations.
• Surface common agent failure classes as actionable issues for developers.
• Improve setup experiences across technology stacks, including workflows supported by coding agents.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, SDK engineers, and product engineers on customer-facing details and technical trade-offs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and shipping full-stack web applications.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript, plus Python with Django or a similar framework and a relational database such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience driving non-trivial projects end to end and gaining alignment across teams.
• Ability to design and build data-heavy interfaces with messy data and large volumes.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Nice to have

• Experience building with LLMs or agent frameworks.
• Familiarity with application monitoring, observability, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience querying large-scale analytical data stores such as ClickHouse.
• Experience building developer-facing products, SDKs, or public APIs.
• Open-source contribution experience.
