Senior Tax Accountant (E-commerce)

Location: Hybrid in Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania. The role includes one work-from-home day per week and 20 additional remote days from anywhere in the world.

Salary: €3,000–€4,000 gross per month, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Collect, prepare, and reconcile financial data for VAT, GST, sales tax, and other tax filings.
• Coordinate tax compliance with external advisors, including data preparation, return reviews, comments, and submission approvals.
• Review tax calculations and declarations, ensuring alignment with accounting records.
• Resolve discrepancies between tax reports, declarations, and bookkeeping entries with internal accountants.
• Maintain tax documentation, filing calendars, trackers, and supporting records while managing deadlines across multiple entities and markets.
• Support tax registrations, authority and auditor requests, process improvements, automation, and AI-driven compliance solutions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in tax accounting or consultancy, preferably in a multinational group or complex business environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Thorough understanding of indirect tax regulations in Lithuania and multiple jurisdictions, including the EU, US, and UK.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with external consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proactive mindset, integrity, curiosity, and openness to using AI and automation tools.
