Business Systems Engineer (Regular/Senior)

Location: Remote, with a time zone difference of no more than +/- 2 hours from GMT+1.

What you will do

• Create and maintain integrations between cloud and on-premise systems, including communication, office, issue-tracking, absence-management, and KSeF tools.
• Customize licensed software and build internal applications to support business processes.
• Administer Atlassian products, including Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Assets.
• Provide internal user support, conduct training sessions, and collaborate with stakeholders on evolving requirements.
• Monitor system health and performance, perform maintenance, coordinate upgrades, and maintain technical documentation.
• Establish governance frameworks and best practices for internal tool management.

Requirements

• Regular or Senior-level programming skills in C, C++, or Go.
• Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or YAML and readiness to work extensively with one of these technologies.
• Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Ability to research technical solutions, assess feasibility, solve problems, and explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to build functional, user-friendly frontends and collaborate with UX designers and frontend developers.
• Ability to create solutions compliant with security and ISO standards, work independently, and take ownership of tasks. Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Advanced Jira workflow configuration, smart values, scheme management, and customization.
• Knowledge of real-time technologies such as WebSocket or WebRTC.
• Knowledge of SQL and ERP systems.
