Accountant (General Ledger)

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting and month-end and quarter-end closing activities.
• Prepare and post standard, recurring, and ad hoc journal entries accurately and on time.
• Perform account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Review P&L transactions and ensure correct ledger classification for reporting.
• Analyze revenue projections and expenditure trends, providing insights to the controller.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors and cross-functional teams while supporting financial controls and KPI achievement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; BCom, MCom, CA Inter, or CWA Inter qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting and month-end or quarter-end closing.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or NetSuite, including system implementation or transformation involvement.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy, multitasking ability, and communication skills.
• Experience managing and developing accounting staff.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with automation tools, BI and analytics platforms, and process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
