Data Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Gather stakeholder requirements and understand data ecosystem, security, privacy, and retention needs.
• Interpret technical requirements and implement assigned software and data engineering components.
• Develop tools and automation for transforming, managing, accessing, deploying, and monitoring batch and real-time data processes.
• Create queries to extract and compile raw data, apply transformations, and support downstream data sources.
• Conduct unit testing, security scans, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor data pipeline alerts, investigate failures, and escalate complex issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience gathering requirements and executing component designs under guidance.
• Experience writing code according to coding, security, and quality standards.
• Experience with code reviews, unit testing, data transformation, and data management automation.
• Experience extracting, compiling, and transforming raw data and maintaining data pipelines.
• Basic troubleshooting experience in data engineering environments.

Nice to have

• 2 or more years of work experience.
• Experience with data extraction orchestration, downstream compatibility transformations, pipeline alert investigation, and anomaly resolution.
