Software Developer (Vue.js and C++)

Location: Hybrid role based in Mülheim-Kärlich, Germany

What you will do

• Develop and optimize HMI frontend and backend software for sensor-based sorting machines.
• Implement software modules, features, and HMI interactions using modern web technologies and C++.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.
• Test and validate functionality and user experience directly on industrial machines under real operating conditions.
• Collaborate with sensor data processing engineers and customer service teams.
• Improve software quality, performance, and efficiency while preparing technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of software development experience.
• Development skills in C++, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and independent ownership skills.
• Interest in industrial systems, machinery, and hands-on engineering work.
• Fluent English and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue.js or a comparable framework.
• Knowledge of image processing or machine vision.
• Education in user experience and software ergonomics.
• Understanding of hardware-software interfaces.
• German language skills and experience developing automated end-to-end tests with tools such as Playwright.
