Full Stack Software Engineer (Quantum Computing)

Location: Hybrid role based in Munich or Berlin, Germany, or Espoo, Finland

What you will do

• Plan and deliver feature areas from implementation through deployment.
• Design, test, and ship full-stack software with a primary focus on frontend development.
• Build interfaces for configuring, running, monitoring, and understanding computational workflows.
• Contribute to backend APIs, workflow execution logic, data pipelines, and job scheduling.
• Debug cross-layer issues involving frontend state, backend services, and asynchronous job execution.
• Collaborate with researchers and developers to clarify requirements and manage technical risks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Experience with Vue.js or a comparable frontend framework, TypeScript, Node.js, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Strong frontend development skills and an interest in intuitive interfaces for complex computational workflows.
• Understanding of asynchronous execution, long-running job state, retries, idempotency, task dependencies, and graceful failure handling.
• Basic familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, logging, monitoring, and OTEL.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field, or equivalent industry experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Argo Workflows or another workflow orchestration system.
• Knowledge of parallel processing and libraries such as mpi4py.
• Experience with CUDA, OpenCL, JAX, Numba, quantum SDKs, simulators, or scientific computing.
• Background in quantum algorithms or hybrid quantum-classical workflows.
