Data Engineer (GCP)

What you will do

• Build data pipelines that ingest data from databases, APIs, and streaming platforms.
• Design and implement scalable data processing systems on Google Cloud Platform.
• Integrate, transform, clean, and model structured and unstructured data.
• Design and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, distributed storage, and database architectures.
• Tune queries, implement indexing, partitioning, compression, and caching strategies to improve performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, clients, and business stakeholders; mentor junior data engineers.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer working with GCP cloud infrastructure and systems.
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and cloud computing services.
• Strong experience designing, building, and deploying cloud data pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, NoSQL databases, Python, data modeling, and database optimization.
• Experience with Airflow or another orchestration and scheduling tool; Airflow is required.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, dbt or Dataform, Git, Jira, and Confluence, plus strong communication skills and experience in multinational distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Certifications in big data or cloud technologies.
• Experience with Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Talend, Alteryx, Apache Spark, Databricks, or Azure.
