Staff Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

What you will do

• Set technical direction across cloud, network, data, endpoint, edge and WAF, application security, security operations, SIEM, and vulnerability management.
• Own cloud security strategy and controls across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle OCI, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
• Review architecture and configuration changes, maintain engineering standards, and serve as the escalation point for complex cross-domain security issues.
• Guide DevSecOps controls, including application testing, dependency and secret scanning, CI/CD pipeline security, and remediation workflows.
• Improve detection and response through SIEM integrations, detection logic, cloud telemetry, automated playbooks, and incident response participation.
• Lead security product evaluations, audit remediation, roadmap planning, and collaboration with architecture, infrastructure, application, risk, compliance, and incident response teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of security engineering experience, including 5+ years designing and operating security technologies in mid- to large-scale enterprise environments.
• 5+ years securing public-cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS resources, including cloud networking and cloud-native application security testing.
• Hands-on depth in at least four security domains, plus 3+ years of DevSecOps experience.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS security, CASB, CSPM, cloud workload and Kubernetes protection, and full lifecycle ownership of security platforms.
• Expertise in cloud identity and access controls, network segmentation, VPC/VNet design, WAF, firewall-as-a-service, endpoint security, and data loss prevention.

Nice to have

• Advanced security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Security Specialty, GCSA, or CCSK.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
