Senior Software Engineer (.NET/Angular)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 annual base salary plus a 4% bonus

What you will do

• Modernize a USDA Child Nutrition Programs platform from ASP.NET WebForms to Angular and .NET on AWS.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and architects on scalable, maintainable solution architecture.
• Design systems with attention to data retention, performance, security, and business impact.
• Own functionality from design through production and investigate issues using logs and diagnostic tools.
• Define architectural patterns, improve engineering practices, and deliver work within sprint commitments.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and contribute to cross-team technical collaboration.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software application development experience.
• Strong understanding of relational and/or non-relational databases, object-oriented programming, and software development principles.
• Experience with unit testing; integration or end-to-end testing experience is a plus.
• Experience with or eagerness to learn Angular 17+, .NET 10, and C#.
• Knowledge of API design using CQRS, MediatR, and FluentValidation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a qualified bootcamp, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• ASP.NET WebForms, jQuery, Telerik ASP.NET AJAX UI Controls, .NET Framework 4.8, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, ECS Fargate, ElastiCache, Secrets Manager, and Amazon Cognito.
• Hangfire, GitHub Actions, EF Core Migrations, FluentMigrator, or LaunchDarkly.
• Integration or end-to-end testing experience.
