Associate Scientist – Analytical Sciences

What you will do

• Lead and contribute to cross-functional S&R and innovation projects across early-stage research and preclinical studies.
• Plan and execute quantitative and qualitative experiments, including sample preparation, instrument operation, data processing, and method performance assessment.
• Develop, optimize, and adapt analytical methods using LC-MS, HRMS, GC-MS, and complementary techniques.
• Identify and characterize unknown compounds, impurities, and degradation products using high-resolution mass spectrometry.
• Interpret complex analytical data, troubleshoot challenges, and provide scientifically sound recommendations to project partners.
• Document analytical work accurately and follow laboratory procedures, quality standards, SOPs, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• M.Sc. with 3+ years of experience, or a recent PhD in analytical chemistry, natural products chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical science, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of chromatography–mass spectrometry techniques, including LC-MS and/or HRMS.
• Experience in analytical method development, optimization, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis and identification of unknown compounds or impurities.
• Analytical curiosity, data-driven thinking, clear communication, collaboration, and commitment to laboratory safety.

Nice to have

• Experience in metabolite analysis.
• Hands-on familiarity with FTIR, UV, GPC, or NMR.
